Our June meeting was held at the Lions Eye Bank, and everyone attending agreed that it was a good place to meet. Unfortunately, the attendance was not overwhelming. We need to find out what it will take to get more members to attend.

BECKY and JIM reported on their Random Tandem biking experience. An Isthmus writer, a Channel3000 reporter, and camera operator were there. You can see the film here. The bike is at Budget Bikes, and is available by reservation. Unfortunately, the rear tire needs replacing.

Our July 20 blood drive will be at Festival Foods from noon until 5pm. We could use one or two more volunteers. Click here to schedule a donation appointment.

The officers for 2023-2024 were elected: President - Phil Ingwell, Vice President - Becky Fraire, Secretary and LCIF Director - John Jenson, Treasurer - Scott Grover, 2 year Director 2023-2025 - Dale Burmester, Carryover Director 2022-2024 - Ross Royster. They will be inducted at our next meeting on July 11.

We again discussed our flower sale. Will we have a Fall sale in October, or November (for Eye Donation Day), or will we wait until next Spring? We can't move forward with planning without some input from YOU. Please respond by sending a return email (please do not use reply all).

Our next highway cleanup will be on September 16. Please mark that on your calendar. More information will be sent later.

Our next meeting will be on July 11, and we will be meeting again at the Eye Bank. You may bring a lunch with you. We are expecting that this will be both in-person and virtual.
