At our August 23 meeting, we covered a lot of business before getting to our program. In a Stuff the Bus update, we learned that some of the HyVee managers asked stores to collect at the register. We should ask next year about coffee shop tips earlier in the game. Fitchburg collected over $300 cash donations, and West collected over $800. The four Madison clubs will share reporting to the District, and split the report for LCI. Julie Baglama picked up the register donations check from Madison East HyVee. MIKE will be delivering the supplies collected to the Sandburg school.

More information on Random Tandem - JODI will drop off posters at Budget Bike, and Wendy has talked to Wisconsin Council for the Blind and Isthmus.

Highway cleanup has been tentatively scheduled for October 22, and BECKY will contact the UW Lions to see if they're interested in helping.

BECKY asked if we'd like to participate in the Deerfield Lions chili fest/cookoff. She will gather details and report back.

JOHN has ordered a Peace Poster kit. We will be asking the Boys and Girls Club if they would like to participate.

Tired of virtual meetings? PHIL, JODI, and MIKE have ideas about new meeting locations. Here's some good news. Our complicated meeting schedule shows that we will be able to hold hybrid in-person and virtual meetings for September, October, and November. Emphasis on in-person!

Madison Monona Lioness Lions Club will resume their meat raffles in September, and a money raffle in October. They're on Saturdays at Tully's on Monona Drive. You should attend one and see how popular they are. They are a good income source.

JODY waas our program. She reminded us to apply for a Club Excellence Award - new requirements are available. She told us that there will be an electronic survey sent to all District members. You should have received it already. Be sure to respond - the results will be shared with individual clubs.

OUR NEXT MEETING will be September 13. After a considerable number of virtual-only meetings, this will be a hybrid meeting, on Google Meet http://bitly.com/MCLC-meeting, and IN-PERSON in the Community Room at Festival. You would be forgiven for not remembering where that is, it's been a while. This will be a business meeting, and Board members are encouraged to attend. As usual, social greetings at 11:30am, and meeting to start at noon.
