This will be our monthly business meeting, and our fund raising plans will be discussed. Our budgeting for the year will depend on our ability to pay for all of those donations that Lions are known for. Fresh ideas are welcome.

At our August 17 meeting, Karina Salvatierra, representing Posadas Lions Club, made a Zoom appearance. We learned that a $229.20 check from Terri Lynn finally arrived. President Becky reported that the Boys and Girls Club is ready to make Peace Posters. The middle school group will participate. We will need judges from our club. Our deadline is Oct 15. Becky sent an email to BGC rep Tiffany asking if she would consider photos of children in the process of making the posters, in case Pam from the Wisconsin State Journal can get approval from her editor to do an article on this. Becky also mentioned in the email to Tiffany that Lions can offer free vision screenings for the children at Boys and GIrls Club. No response to this email yet

Almost $1250 in cash was raised (so far) in three locations for Stuff the Bus. The money will go to the School Distric Foundation, and the supplies collected will go to selected schools from Fitchburg, Madison Central, Madison Monona Lioness, and Madison West Lions Clubs. The distribution system has changed from previous methods.
