Our next (ZOOM) Meeting will be Tuesday, May the Fourth, (insert your favorite Star Wars comment here) at 12:00 Noon, with President DALE BURMESTER presiding as usual. Use the same key as before to participate. Join by clicking: http://bitly.com/MCLC-Meeting -or- here.

We started our meeting with a group recital of the Terri Lynn web address: https://mclc.terrilynn.com/. There is some work to be done to get your relatives, friends, and neighbors to head to that site. TT (and President-elect) BECKY reminded us that the Boys and Girls Club is ready to go on the Peace Poster. BECKY also reminded us to mark July 27 as our Blood Drive date, at the Hotel Indigo, noon until five. If you haven't done so already, download the Red Cross app for easy registration and reservation. The Highway Cleanup was briefly mentioned. (Unfortunately, that has been postponed until May 8 due to a shortage of volunteers). JODI was co-executive producer and DALE was lead tech for the 1st ever virtual LCIF “Tell-A-Thon” on April 11. The four-hour event is posted on the Lions Virtual YouTube channel and contains inspirational videos as well as cameo appearances from the likes of David Foster, Drew Brees and many others. One of the videos features the Burmester Virtual Bar :-). The Tell-A-Thon raised over $675,000. Historian TERRY found another Tale, from April 27, 1993 (see the Tale Index below). It is interesting to note the contrast between what we were doing then and what we do now.

We heard from a Lion we haven't seen for a while. ADAM has had a roller coaster ride since he last attended a meeting. After graduation he found a job teaching in Kimberly, had some differences, resigned, and is now subbing. He would like to move further south in Wisconsin. He thought about transferring to a local Lions club, difficult in current times. His contact with Lions there prompted a discussion about women in Lions.
