Holiday Greetings!

Next Regular Meeting - will be in December, on the 4th, to be exact. The usual program meeting on the 3rd Tuesday is cancelled, due to the proximity of the Thanksgiving Holiday. There will be a Board meeting on Nov. 27.

December Club meetings will be held as usual, but there won't be one on Christmas Day or New Years Day. Confused yet? Life gets complicated this time of year. HOWEVER, lots of Lion activity - see “Drinks With Santa” and “Holiday Party”, below.

The Holiday Party at Angelo's (Dec. 11, about 5:30 PM) in Monona is coming up fast. SCOTT GROVER's e-mail to members a day or two ago gave the details, including a request for RSVP. Replies should go to SCOTT. Come for a social good time, and bring friends and family. Lion Birthdays for the year are part of the party, so bring a small gift (Under $15) to be exchanged by drawing.

At our last meeting, VP DALE BURMESTER presided, and TT ADAM GROSSNICKLE pursued the “VOTE” theme, with praise for those who already had voted, and a poke for those yet to vote. The Word of Wisdom for that day was “All I want is all you got!” from Mike Leckrone, and the more you think about that, the more sense it makes.

There was discussion of the “Drinks With Santa” event, upcoming on Dec.8, at 3 P.M. at LJ's Sports Tavern, in the same building as Festival Foods. Amidst the conviviality, there will be a 50/50 raffle benefitting our Service Fund and an “Accuracy Toss” which sounds a lot like a practice session for the Bags Tournaments but whatever, Accuracy is good, right? Also Holiday Trivia and selfies with Santa. The MCLC “Lion” may also make an appearance.

A variety of awards were presented:

• 15 year member chevron to TOM STEVENS
• Gold centennial pin to Lion ADAM
• MCLC “Membership Satisfaction” patch for banner
• pin for President KEVIN from WLF for our contributions to WLF
