Our next meeting, on March 20 (11:30, on the Mezz, at Festival Foods) will feature a program presented by Irene Golembiewski, on TeamSurvivor. We expect that she will be assisted by husband Don, one of our Past Presidents. TeamSurvivor provides free or low cost fitness activities and programs for women with a past or present diagnosis of cancer.

March is one of our months for Eye Tissue Transport. JIM is one of the backup dispatchers. Irv Erhlich from West is the primary dispatcher, so you might expect a call from him.

Cycle For Sight has come and gone. Somewhere on the internet, the Editor saw LINDA BERGREN cycling vigorously.

At our last meeting the first and most important item was the reminder that Rose Day is April 23, and that is no longer a far distance away . We have a depot site at Festival Foods — now we need orders to pick up and deliver, and of course we need Lions for the delivery part. Order blanks are available on paper and on our webside. As usual, red roses, or mixed color roses, or a mixed bouquet of Spring flowers.

This coming Friday, March 23, is the NESCO Health Fair. We always participate, and in addition to a screening event they can always use a few extra hands. SCOTT GROVER has all the details, as usual.

Officer Training, for all Club officers and directors, is Saturday, April 21. Location for our club officers has not yet been announced, but it won't be far off.

Lions State Convention (Multiple District 27,to be precise) is May 3 to 5, in Lake Geneva. If you haven't been to one, you should go — it widens your Lions worldview. If you've “been there and done that” then you know you always learn something new and have a good time, so you should go again. JOHN JENSON gets you in.

The thorny question of who gets to use our Bags Boards, and at what cost, apparently has been resolved for the present group of supplicants, who are going to use them for a nonprofit recruiting event. “For The Good Of The Order” is the ancient expression. We're going to use them ourselves shortly, for the Spring Bags Tournament, details for which are still being worked out.

Scrounge up your customer list, and sell some roses — our Service Fund needs the income, and the weather's starting to improve for Delivery Day. Save some time on 4/23 to help out!
