Holiday Greetings!

Next Meeting - Tomorrow, Jan.3, 2017, Tuesday noon, at the Coliseum Bar & Restaurant, as usual. We finally get the next calendar year started, after what seemed like an awfully mixed-up “weekend.” This will be our first business meeting of 2017, and outside of Badger football there doesn't seem to be a lot of exciting stuff going on. But there is a business side to Lionism, otherwise the service side would be difficult to sustain, so we'll start attending to that now.

The Holiday Party at Angelo's had lots of Lion fellowship, some music, lots of talk and good refreshments. There was also an “all hands” Lion Birthday party, as we attempted to celebrate an entire Lion year's birthdays at one shot. It did get everyone involved, tho, so much so that the Editor finally lost track of who drew whose name. The ones we know about: TERRY SCHAR drew ADAM GRASSNICKLE, and that one had to be rigged - the longest-serving Lion present, drew the newest one. (LINDA wouldn't rig the drawing. Would she?) Others: PHIL INGWELL drew CRAIG BUTLER, DALE MUELLER drew LINDA BERGREN, CRAIG BUTLER drew BETTY INGWELL, ROSS ROYSTER drew PHIL INGWELL, LINDA BERGREN drew GAIL STIRR, CHARLIE LIBERTY drew ROSS ROYSTER, GAIL STIRR drew Pres. MIKE KNOWLTON, and then MIKE drew CHARLIE LIBERTY.

Others: KEVIN OLSEN drew DAN STOUDT, DAN STOUDT drew SCOTT GROVER, SCOTT GROVER drew TRISH LIBERTY, BETTY INGWELL drew JOHN JENSON, TRISH LIBERTY drew KEVIN OLSEN, JOHN JENSON drew PHIL INGWELL, and MIKE KNOWLTON drew DALE MUELLER. If you've actually read this far, you now know pretty much everyone who was there.

SCOTT GROVER passed the hat for tips for our Coliseum Bar servers, so we might get that presentation at tomorrow's meeting. They do a good job, even have figured out some of our individual “idiotsynchronies.”

Oh, yeah, and tomorrow is one of the TailTwister “gimmies.” Be sure you fill out an Attendance card at the meeting. Correctly.

Don't forget your donation for the River Food Pantry. The holidays may be over, but there's still hunger in Dane County. Non-perishable food items or cash will be welcomed. We'll pass these along to the Pantry on January 17.

Holiday Greetings!
